Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a pejorative term, originally adapted from Charles Krauthammer’s “Bush Derangement Syndrome,” to describe an intense, often irrational opposition to Donald Trump that overrides normal judgment.Coined and popularized by his supporters, it portrays critics, particularly Democrats and media figures, as so consumed by personal or partisan hatred that they cannot acknowledge any positive actions, policies, or outcomes associated with him. It is not a clinical diagnosis but a rhetorical label for what appears as reflexive negativity: assuming the worst motives, downplaying successes, or framing neutral-to-positive developments as catastrophic.

In addition to the typos and errors, the autopsy blames various factors for the Democrats’ loss, including bad messaging, failures to effectively combat Trump, to appeal to everyday voters, to invest in state and local parties, and the inability to project strength/unity.
