1. How does Obama get away with destroying America?
Trading deserters for terrorists. Deserting Americans in Benghazi and then lying about it. Using the IRS to persecute critics. Destroying America’s healthcare system and allowing Veterans hospitals to just let veterans die.
Millions of Americans are wondering: How exactly does Barack Obama get away with dismantling and destroying the greatest nation on earth, committing outrage after outrage, day after day and year after year?
How can a scandal-plagued president so openly and arrogantly trample the nation’s laws, hobble its economy, hurt its friends and – shockingly – help its enemies without being impeached and removed from office?
Are Americans caught in some sort of trance-like state, oblivious to what is happening to them, and paralyzed from acting rationally while their nation disintegrates before their eyes?
2. Women and Girls Kidnapped to sell into slavery
Suspected Boko Haram gunmen have reportedly kidnapped 20 women from a nomadic settlement in northeast Nigeria near the town of Chibok, where the Islamic militants abducted more than 300 schoolgirls and young women on April 15,” most of whom are still missing despite the power of the Twitter hashtag, #BringBackOurGirls.
“Alhaji Tar a member of the vigilante groups set up to resist Boko Haram’s attacks, said the men arrived at noon Thursday in the Garkin Fulani settlement and forced the women to enter their vehicles at gunpoint.” Hundreds of people flashed the hashtag at them, and it didn’t stop them. It was something to see. A lot of local residents had that hashtag on piece of paper. Here comes Boko Haram with weapons and guns kidnapping women, and these people are holding up signs with a hashtag, and Boko Haram didn’t stop!

(BREITBART) — HOUSTON, Texas –A tidal wave of illegal immigrants along the U.S.-Mexico border has caused federal housing and processing facilities to become overwhelmed and overcrowded. As a result, officials have resorted to a makeshift housing center in Nogales, Arizona, especially for the surge of thousands of children who were part of the influx. They are being transported there via plane. Many of the minors at one facility — which only opened on Friday — are reportedly being sickened by the food — and throwing the food in the trash.
Tony Banegas, consul of Honduras to Arizona, told local media outlet KPHO-TV, “This morning they switched to burritos, but they complained the eggs were cold. They couldn’t eat them and even made them sick. They complained they had a burrito but had to throw it in the trash.” He said, “What happened today is they added four showers. Some of the girls were able to take their first shower in 10 days. They’re planning to build 60 in the next few days.”

Pure evil: Cass Sunstein once again proves to be the most dangerous man in America
Just in case you had forgotten what earned former Obama regulatory czar Cass Sunstein the title of “most dangerous man in America,” Glenn shared the frightening ‘nudge’ topic Sunstein wrote about in his most recent column for Bloomberg View. In an op-ed entitled “Open Brain, Insert Ideology,” Sunstein cites a study of reforms to the Chinese education system that seemingly proves curriculums can be “explicitly designed to transform students’ political views.” Sunstein goes on to question whether such reforms could be effective in the United States.
Suppose that an authoritarian government decides to embark on a program of curricular reform, with the explicit goal of indoctrinating the nation’s high school students. Suppose that it wants to change the curriculum to teach students that their government is good and trustworthy, that their system is democratic and committed to the rule of law, and that free markets are a big problem.

Will such a government succeed? Or will high school students simply roll their eyes?
Questions of this kind have long been debated, but without the benefit of reliable evidence. New research, from Davide Cantoni of the University of Munich and several co-authors, shows that recent curricular reforms in China, explicitly designed to transform students’ political views, have mostly worked. The findings offer remarkable evidence about the potential influence of the high school curriculum on what students end up thinking — and they give us some important insights into contemporary China as well.
Here’s the background. Starting in 2001, China decided to engage in a nationwide reform of its curriculum, including significant changes in the textbooks used by students in grades 10, 11 and 12. In that year, China’s Ministry of Education stated that education should “form in students a correct worldview, a correct view on life, and a correct value system.”
The reforms, implemented a few years later, had six major goals:
1. Students should learn about, and value, Chinese “democracy” and political participation.
2. Students should learn about the importance of the rule of law for legitimizing the Chinese government.
The crucial finding from the study is that the new curriculum greatly affected students’ thinking. They became more likely to count the Chinese political system as democratic. They displayed a higher level of trust in public officials. They were more skeptical of free markets, and more likely to reject the view that a market economy is preferable to any other economic system.

5. Marine watchdog: VA deaths actually ‘in thousands’
‘It was all deliberate, and it was all in the name of an almighty dollar’
Evidence of dozens of U.S. veterans dying as they waited months for appointments and treatment are just the tip of the iceberg – and the real number of deaths could be in the thousands – according to a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who closely follows the issue.
Jessie Jane Duff spent 20 years in the Marines, rising to the rank of gunnery sergeant. She is now on the organizing committee at Concerned Veterans for America. While the government is essentially admitting to about 40 deaths in Phoenix due to long waits and dozens more facilities are under investigation, Duff said the real number of veteran deaths due to the VA bureaucracy in recent years is exponentially higher.
“Yes, I do estimate it’s in the thousands,” she said. “Let’s go to the backlog that they had. Fifty-three veterans died a day just waiting on their benefits in 2011. The VA itself has those numbers. We’re talking about egregious mismanagement, a culture of corruption that was allowing all these executives to give the impression that they had 14 days of waiting time, not months and months of waiting time, so they could get bonuses. So I expect it will be several hundred, if not thousands.”

In October 2011, President Obama stated that the last American troops would leave Iraq by the end of the year. “Today,” he chortled, “I can report that, as promised, the rest of our troops in Iraq will come home by the end of the year.” He celebrated “another season of homecomings,” stating, “Our troops will definitely be home for the holidays.”
Just a few months later, Obama would campaign on the slogan that al Qaeda was on the run. On November 1, 2012, just days before his re-election, Obama stated, “Thanks to sacrifice and service of our brave men and women in uniform, the war in Iraq is over, the war in Afghanistan is winding down, al Qaeda has been decimated, Osama bin Laden is dead.”
Just a few months later, Obama would campaign on the slogan that al Qaeda was on the run. The war in Iraq may be over. But thanks to President Obama, it was lost. And our erstwhile allies are paying the price as al Qaeda regains a strong foothold in the country, taking over the major cities of Mosul and Tikrit and promptly engaging in mass beheadings. Approximately half a million Iraqis have now fled Mosul, attempting to run to Kurdistan. In total, al Qaeda-connected terror groups now control 10 to 15 percent of the country. Terror is worse in the country than it has been since 2007, before President Bush’s troop surge.
President Obama and his allies desperately wanted another Vietnam in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many on the left still see America’s purposeful self-defeat in Vietnam as a sort of moral moment, despite the utter carnage that followed in Cambodia. Taking the “imperialistic” United States down a peg is the highest priority. Betraying our allies is merely an afterthought.

How could a man who is suspected of killing thousands of babies go unrecognized in Hollywood and the news media?
It’s a question Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld and hosts of Fox News’ “The Five” debated as a new film project seeks to tell the real-life story of convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell.
“This is a story I think that we as Americans need to face up to and to witness,” Perino said.
Gutfeld added:
The thing is, I mean, it is a brutal topic. But so is Idi Amin, so is Rwanda, so is the Holocaust. Hollywood has made movies that involved all of those topics. The reason why they don’t do this one is not because the evil is so grotesque. It’s that it’s too close to a moral choice they’ve made. That’s what it’s about. It’s not that like, ah it’s so hard to do something on this man who butchered babies. It’s because it’s too close to the pro-choice mindset.
Filmmakers Phelim McAleer, Ann McElhinney and Magdalena Segieda are raising money for a movie, “Gosnell,” to shed light on the Philadelphia abortionist who was found guilty of three counts of murder and one count of manslaughter last year. With two weeks left to meet their $2.1 million goal, they’ve raised more than 70 percent from more than 15,000 funders on Indiegogo.
“Gosnell killed more people then Gary Ridgway … the Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy, combined. In a 30-year killing spree it is thought he killed many thousands of babies,” McElhinney stated in the crowd-funding video.
Gosnell was on trial for murder at the same time as Jodi Arias, and while she became a household name, few recognize him. In fact, their convictions were less than a week a part; Jodi Arias was convicted of first-degree murder on May 8, 2013 and Kermit Gosnell was convicted on three counts of first-degree murder and one count of involuntary manslaughter on May 13, 2013.

8. Enforcing Islamic law at Brandeis University
Diana West shines light on ‘dhimmi’ university un-inviting woman fighting Muslim violence
When Brandeis University withdrew an honorary degree for Ayaan Hirsi Ali after a student-professor firestorm branded her an “Islamophobe,” the campus in effect declared itself an outpost of Islamic law, American-style. Officially, Brandeis is now a place where critics of Islam – “blasphemers” and “apostates,” according to Islamic law – are scorned and rejected.
Not that Brandeis put it that way in its unsigned announcement about Hirsi Ali’s dis-invitation, which notes: “She is a compelling public figure and advocate for women’s rights, and we respect and appreciate her work to protect and defend the rights of women and girls throughout the world. That said, we cannot overlook … her past statements that are inconsistent with Brandeis University’s core values.”
Translation: Hirsi Ali’s advocacy on behalf of brutalized women is good, but Hirsi Ali’s “past statements” – advocacy that connects such violence to Islamic teachings – are bad, or, in faddish twaddle, “Islamophobia.” As a dhimmi (non-Muslims under Islamic law) institution, Brandeis cannot possibly honor the infidel.
Islamic blasphemy laws sanction the death penalty for exactly the kind of criticism of Islam ex-Muslim Hirsi Ali has engaged in: hence, the innumerable death threats she has received for over a decade; and hence, the ritual Islamic slaughter of Hirsi Ali’s co-producer, Theo van Gogh, for “Submission,” their short film about specifically Islamic violence and repression of women.
