1. Justina Free, Returns to Parents

“Let’s start with another great story. It is the story of Justina Pelletier,” Glenn said. “She’s supposed to be returned to her home. Yesterday at about 3 o’clock I got an email from Mat Staver at Liberty Counsel, and he said she’s on her way home tomorrow morning – that’s today. So she is being released from the hospital, back to her parents.”
For those unfamiliar with the case, in February 2013 a then-15-year-old Justina was brought to Boston Children’s Hospital after suffering complications with the flu. Prior to this, the Connecticut teen had been diagnosed and treated by a physician at Tufts Medical Center for mitochondrial disease – a disease that affects the function of the cell’s mitochondria.
Once at Boston Children’s Hospital, however, doctors declared Justina had somatoform disorder, a psychiatric disorder, and stopped treating the mitochondrial disease. When the Pelletiers disagreed with the treatment plan set forth by these doctors and tried to discharge Justina to take her elsewhere, they were accused of medical child abuse and lost custody of their daughter to the Massachusetts DCF. Over the course of the past year, Justina’s condition had deteriorated rapidly.
After months of back and forth and dead ends, Judge Joseph Johnston finally ruled Justina’s parents – Lou and Linda Pelletier – will regain custody of their daughter.
“I find that the parties have shown by credible evidence that circumstances have changed since the adjudication on Dec. 20, 2013, that Justina is a child in need of care and protection pursuant to G.L. c. 199, 24-26,” Johnston wrote in the ruling, according to the Boston Globe. “Effective Wednesday, June 18, 2014, this care and protection petition is dismissed and custody of Justina is returned to her parents, Lou and Linda Pelletier.”
2. What to do when forced to perform ‘gay weddings’
Eventually, pastors in America will be ordered to preside over homosexual marriages – and they’ll have three choices: (1) surrender, disobey God’s law and obey man’s; (2) stand firm, disobey man’s law and obey God’s; or (3) use the opportunity to serve, speak truth in love and glorify Jesus. I like the third option.
Churches in Denmark are now compelled, by law, to host same-sex “weddings.”
America is next.
Tyranny’s appetite is insatiable. The secular-left’s hunger for power and control over its detractors can never be satisfied. To outwardly succumb and affirmatively capitulate to their pagan demands will never be enough.
Thought control is the goal.
As Mr. Phillips has indicated, he has no problem baking for homosexuals, but, as a Christian, he simply cannot and will not contribute his time and God-given gifts to bake a “wedding cake” that mocks and defiles God’s design for the immutable institution of legitimate marriage.
Nor would he bake for a white supremacist rally or any other similarly wicked event that likewise flouts biblical truth.
As a result, Phillips has said he will stop baking wedding cakes altogether.

Rob’s wife walked into their apartment and immediately knew something was wrong. The curtains were closed, the lights were out and Rob was on the couch with a blanket tucked around him.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“I think lunch made me sick,” he mumbled.
After checking his fever and giving him another blanket, Mary set out to make a light dinner that would make him feel better. She boiled noodles, cooked and cut up chicken and made Rob’s favorite chicken noodle soup. She made him a small bowl and placed it on a plate with crackers and a tall glass of iced water. She brought the meal on a tray to her ailing husband who took one whiff and jumped off the couch running in the direction of the bathroom. “I had chicken for lunch,” he screamed before slamming the door.
Even the best intentions can have undesirable results. That is true in small things like trying to cook chicken noodle soup for someone afraid of eating chicken, and in big decisions like investing for the future.
Because of this reality, several evangelical pastors – wanting to invest in mutual funds that did not support morally questionable businesses – approached Arthur Ally, a man well-known as a financial consultant and public accountant, to create America’s first pro-life/pro-family mutual fund.
Ally started small, with only a handful of investors in a limited partnership. He was inspired by his wife to name it the Timothy Plan. Ally initially focused on five major issues: abortion, pornography, alcohol, tobacco and casino gambling. Years later, he broadened his scope to screen for anti-family entertainment and alternative lifestyles.
Through the growth of the Timothy Plan and other connections, Ally became managing partner of a company that developed the eVALUEator, a tool to analyze any mutual fund’s moral integrity.
